Yep sorry, it was me misreading..specsavers appointment for next week arranged  ;D ;D
Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and im not sure about the former .....

woe10

You can record it on Filmon.

Brightspark

Seems like we're looking at a different schedule Woe  ;D

I am led to believe Martin Bliss ( Bliss Properties ) was one of the agents showing property in the new series... I'm sure he would know when it is to be screened

TheCooler

5 mins into the show and they've already given misleading info on the short term letting situation.
" just get a licence "
I'm surprised the estate agent didn't  choke on her words.

woe10

I told you they tell LIES. This show should be taken off the air. What year was it.

TheCooler

I imagine it's 2013 as Justine Harman has a bun in the oven.

Ronnietheblue

September 2013 according to closing credits.

IsThisForumStillGoingWow

Nice that he thought it was ok to let his dog roam and cra p all over El Cotillo  :o

Champlain Girl

Watched the programme, stayed at the first  apartment block on the edge of El Cotillo, and the accommodation that boasted a shared balcony, wouldn't buy either!

CG

Ronnietheblue

Yeah I noticed that Hev, just going to let it roam unsupervised. Sure they'll be popular ::)

woe10

She's just going to work as a Waitress.  WHERE  :o  There's no work.

The guy sounds like he has more sense than the presenter. Not impressed with the Re-Posession price, quite right, it's a joke. Half the price in Horizonte.

So, they interview a guy who's been here 2 years  ;D ;D  It's getting funnier.

Don't they know that "Compact" is real estate talk for "Minute"  :'(

Ernie

The last apartment is still showing as For Sale on the Bliss Properties website with a price of €79k. I would have thought it would have been removed by now if they were actually buying it, the programme being recorded back in September.

DaveW

They had no intention of buying, never been to Fuerteventura before.  Not sure how he intended to make a living, they just wanted a free holiday.

Ivemovedon

anyone notice the female property agent at the beginning come clean about needing a holiday let license but sneakily fail to let it out of the bag that they won't actually give you one. Made me laugh that one .

She seemed to be grimacing , probably due to her crossing her fingers so tightly , after not telling the whole truth.

Ole Man River

     Saw it too; 2.10pm channel 4.  :o
Agree with most of the above, especially - getting jobs (what jobs???) & walking dogs, no mention of the law -
" dogs must be kept on a lead" & I don't think you are allowed to let dogs roam on the beaches either, are you?

I seem to think that the owner has several 'holiday rental' properties there, all residential, so I'd unload them too, wouldn't you?

Gone Fishing

It's lashing it down here so nice to see the island on any Telly program.

Available on 4OD which is how I watched it (working when the program was aired this afternoon)

dee-dee

I didn`t like it  ::)..the man was a right `ole moaner...and who would buy a place when they had never visited the island before??  ::) ::) Stupid  >:(

DaveW

I don't think that he could have been born in Essex Dee, must have been an import.

sunpics

Very Childish. Get back to Dross.

superkev

Well we skyplussed this and watched it today. Sorry but I thought they were a miserable pair of gits who I'd hate if they lived on our beloved island. He just twisted about everything and basically contradicted himself on each property. How on earth can someone not like Corralejo for goodness sake.

As for comments they made that's already been noticed -

Just let the dog out and roam around????
I'll just get a job as a waitress??????
That property was to big/had to much space????
That property was too small????
Don't like white wash walls????
That's a different kind of white wash wall????

Haway man place in the sun, do some research on the people who are wanting to buy somewhere, someone out there will actually be wanting to buy a property in Fuerte and you're p***ing around with 2 prats who've never been to the island  :o

dee-dee

They should of just got him a boat and plonked him in the Atlantic...and hopefully he would of floated away  ::)

Pat on the hill

Apart from him being a bit of a knob,(she was cute tho !)
We thought the programme over all was a good advertisement
for Cotillo and Corallejo, Most people watching should have seen
Fuerte in a positive light.

TV producers will always choose the least ordinary participants for this type of programme as they think this will get more people talking about their show and so generate interest in it. If they appear to be idiots then so much the better, viewers will enjoy feeling superior to them. The purpose of the programme isn't to entertain or educate viewers, or to help couples find a property. Its purpose is to deliver the maximum audience for the advertisers.
