You said your from Derbyshire, I spent many a good night staying in the little village of Castle Donnington, when I used to do work with a company in Derby. Ireally liked that little village, really friendly people.

Only the one hotel, and about 5 mins down the road was a real old typical English pub selling real ales and an Indian curry house next door. Heaven

Castle Don is 10 mins from where I live. Nice place but Melbourne is nicer  Great access to East Mids.

Not been back ther ein over 20 years Trumpy  , never had teh opportunity. I iused hate when they put me in a 'plastic' hotel in Derby, bloody kip, loud noises and fights going on all night......

Never been to Bradford so I wouldn't know.

All we ever hear over here is bad reports about Bradford, fighting, and all that kinda stuff.

Donnigton has changed a lot in that time du to airport expansion it's now surrounded by industrial parks and chain hotels since DHL built it's cargo hub there.

I can say quiet easily though though it is much nicer than Bradford, and yes I have been, used to work for a company on Leeds Rd in the old tram sheds.

The company I did work with was called APV and they were on West Meadows industrial estate in Derby.

Its a pity about that little village. They loose all their quaintness when industry over runs them.

Mi Grandad worked in tram sheds all his working life mate

I worked for a business called Flexiform back in the early 90's They made office furniture but maily specialist steal storage units,they were very popular in Doctors for storing the Lloyed George cards think they have dissapeared now.

He moved to Leeds, don't know which is worst
