Walking through the automatic doors at the airport and into that Fuerty sunshine has to be the best feeling ever...and seeing my little grandson who lives in Caleta run up to me shouting "Grandma, you're here !!!" with a huge grin and throwing his arms around me  ;D ;D 8) Best feeling in the world  :)
Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and im not sure about the former .....

When some flights didn't use the jetty, but parked further out, stepping out through the door into the open-air oven gave the most wonderful sense of arrival. Then you had the walk or bus ride to the terminal and another half hour or more inside, but you really knew you'd arrived.
For me now, it's when we've got the hire car out of the car park, round the first 2 - or is it 3? roundabouts and on to the open road. The airport (and all the travelling) has gone from the rear view, up through the rock cutting and down the hill. The view opens up, Playa Blanca just ahead and below, the sea behind, the coast beyond Rosario.
That's the moment I feel that I'm On Holiday.
btw This year, yet again we didn't get round to actually visiting Playa Blanca. Maybe next year.
