Spending money ?

Hi everyone .
Just a quick one on spending money. Would 1100 pound be enough for one person to eat out three times a day and to get merry every night . No Excursions or car hire . For a two week period in caleta . Thanks

£1100 I don't know about merry but with that much cash you will be out of your tree every night I come over for a week three times a year and with car hire I only manage to spend about 400euros a week

So you have 78 Euros a day. So if you stick to sensible eating places
Breakfast around 5
Lunch 10
Dinner 15
Beer at 3.50 a pint gives you 13 pints a night.

However you can pay a lot less
I pay 3.50 for Breakfast
About 5.00 for Lunch
About 7,00 for Dinner Based on eating at Trafalgar's
Early doors pints at 1.50

So 5 pints at 1.50 and another 15 3.50 later on, is 20 pints a day enough?

Hi trumpy thanks for your reply . I've got 78 pounds a day not sure what I would get when I change it up but doing it this weekend . Thanks for the break down that really does help out . 20 pints wow ! Can't drink that much bout 8 to 10 is my limit . I must say it does sound a lot cheaper then I thought . As I understand it the dog and duck does old spec hen ? Is that 3.50 a pint and stuff like san Miguel /tropical . 1.50 ? . I will check out trafalgars for sure . Thanks

Hi dean05   At the Traf you can get 90 euros for your £78. A full English with drink is 4:50, for lunch we do 5 euro specials ie sausage and mash, for dinner a rump steak with chips peas mushrooms and onions is 9:50 that leaves 71 euros for beer at our price 1:50 a pint means you can drink about 6 gallons a night if you want to.

The prices at the traf sound fantastic I will check my google maps to find out where it is . Food sounds great to .my sort of stuff I must say . Out on sep 21 so not long to wait . Thanks for your post whyme the bit about drinking 6 gallons cracked me up . Thanks

Dean, Trafalga's is at the bottom end of the town it serves good inexpensive decent food and cheep beer and has some really nice staff. I'll be in there as well as I go out on the 3rd of October.

Enjoy yourself, with your budget you'll be just fine.

I reckon Dean05 you will be constantly micturated for the 2 weeks, your budget will allow you to experiment with some of the other eateries and drinking houses.

Have a look on the bar and restaurant section on the front page of forum and you will get an idea of the quality places in Caleta

And by the way, have a great holiday.

Bar Studs €1.50 for a pint & €5 for a good bar meal.
Good friendly staff & great banter. I rekon €20 a day and you'd come back to the uk with a healthy wad.

If I was to spend all that money in a pub for drinks and meals, I wouldn't see much Fuerteventura and would be white as casper the ghost. Never mind my blood shot eyes, bedraggled unshaven looks.

I am back over in Sept Whyme seeing as how I have been going into the Trafalgar three or four weeks every year every morning for a full English and at least four nights  from when the bar was first opened I take it you owe me at least a free pint or two

i,m out on 21 sept as well whyme,i usually have a good few meals in the trafalgar and drinks in studs.food in the trafalger is of a very good standard,never had a bad meal yet.sorely tempted to turn denboy into dean to get that free drink.only joking really.happy to pay reasonable prices for food and drink.come to think of it,never had a really bad meal in caleta,and been coming a long time.i,m sure dean will get hooked on caleta,like the rest of us.

No he isn't silly. He's five foot 5, wears a flying cap and has a handlebar moustache.

At 1:50 euros a pint and with a 200% mark up it still won't cost me much no matter how many deanos turn up. Oops, shouldn't have said that, now you'll know how much you're being ripped off when being charged 3:50 a pint.
