I noticed I had gave TC the wrong spelling of my granddaughters name on the recently paid invoice and ticket email yesterday.
So called them to say there should be an "e" on the end to match her passport. As I said it was my fault, but it cost me £50 for literally one minute to change (or add an E)

What a rip off and I told them so!!  That works out at £3000 an hour for a ticketless change.

They had/have folk over a barrel when they make a simple mistake.  >:(

And yes I acknowledge it was my [costly] mistake.

Last time I did this with Ryanair cost me £30

I agree Ronnie. Imagine getting to the other side and not getting through :o

Having said that, when you do go through passport control at the airport, the border security/gaurds/Jobsworths/customs guys, only tend to look at the passports don't they.  But knowing my luck.............................................................. ::)

Know what you mean Kenny, did take some extra cash just in case, but thought it was a gamble worth taking................was quite looking forward to a fortnight on mi own ;D

After posting the above, and yes it was my mistake, but I was mad at the level of the charge - sent a letter saying so to Thomas Cook mid February. After not hearing from them for a month I found out an e-mail address for the Directors and today sent them off a nicely worded e-mail along with my letter previously sent and one of their managers called me just now to say that they will refund all of my money and aplogising for no one getting back to me etc.

Just goes to show if you stick with it! they will listen at times.  ;D ;D
