So a home defeat against the 2nd placed team.  Corralejo are now 10th.

Disappointing game for Corralejo today. Corralejo were quite simply outclassed by Atlético Granadilla. Granadilla took the lead in the 6th minute. Granadilla were awarded a corner which was whipped into the box, helped by the wind, which clipped the angle of post and crossbar, the ball wasn't cleared by the Corralejo defense and was smashed home beyond the hapless 'keeper. Granadilla continued to dominate possession and scored again around the 35th minute. Corralejo were without their first-choice 'keeper and being honest, the reserve 'keeper was woeful, he failed to command his area and spilled every shot he had to save. He spent the majority of the game way off his line and looked likely to concede whenever Granadilla were through on goal. He actually should have been sent off in the last minute of the first half when, for no reason whatsoever, he came charging out of the area towards the corner flag to close down one of the Granadilla fowards, he subsequently handled the ball outside the box, fortunately it wasn't seen by the referee. Second half was more of the same with Corralejo failing to keep hold of the ball and Granadilla winning every second ball. Corralejo were awarded a penalty which was poorly taken and hit tamely straight at the Granadilla 'keeper. All in all, a very disappointing day at the office for Corralejo, maybe the hangovers from the carnival were a contributing factor.

They are 12th with 46 points.
