The dog shelter in Puerto del Rosario is desperately in need of people to help walk the dogs there.
If you have a spare half hour, the dogs would love to get out into the fresh air for a walk.
You just need to turn up - the opening hours are:
Monday-Friday:  11:00-13:30
Mondays and Wendesdays:  16:30 - 18:30
and Saturdays: 09:00 - 13:00

Also if you have any old towells, blankets, jumpers, dog collers, bowls, etc - they would be much appreciate.  You can drop them off at the reception of the shelter.

we are over for a week on 19th june-we could pop over one day for a couple of hours if thats ok? ( i know it's not much but we'd liketo help)

Lostboys

Warriors that would be great.
As Captain has indicated on the map, you just head for the Risco Prieto Industrial Estate (in front of Lidl), follow the road past Ideal and Electon and as you go round the corner you´ll see it on your right as you drive down at the back of Electron.  It has a big sign PERRERA on the building.

ok-we will be over some time that week-we have some blankets and old duvet cases that were left when we bought our apartment we will bring those. is there anything else desparatly needed?

Lostboys

New owners for the dogs!!!
Bedding and collars are the main things as well as people to help take them out for a walk.  They need love and care just like all dogs do.

Thanks again

Went up today around 12 to help out with walking the dogs but the shelter was closed and there was a notice saying it was closed until 13th May. Anyway, left a bag of food inside the fence so hope they enjoy it!

Hi, yes the Town Hall decided on Saturday that they were closing it to the public this week.  Not sure if it´s because the person that works there for the Town Hall is ill (which means that the public nor the helpers can gain access)or what - no explaination given, however they do send somebody every day to give the dogs food and water so the food will have been picked up although I will email them to check and to let them know where the food came from.

Thanks very much!!!!
