As Of 15th July Lowcost holidays are now in receivership. I would advise anyone who has booked through them to visit their website. Seems most people will lose their holidays. I am one of them. Do not bother to email them or the address on their website for the receivers as it only logs the mail and you will only get a standard letter of apology and nothing else. As follows:

Dear Sir / Madam

Lowcosttravelgroup Limited (in administration) (the “Company”)

Lowcostaviation.com Limited (in administration)

Lowcostbeds.com Limited (in administration)

Lowcostholidays Limited   (in administration)

(“the Group”)

Thank you for your email.

Finbarr O`Connell, Henry Shinners and Colin Hardman of Smith & Williamson LLP and Lane Bednash of CMB Partners UK Limited were appointed joint administrators to the Group on 15 July 2016.

This email is an automated response to acknowledge receipt of your email.   The joint administrators and their staff do not monitor this email account and the emails sent to it will be used at some future date to assess the level of creditors of the group.

Anyone affected by the Group`s administration should visit the Company`s website where the most up to date information may be found.

Bad situation for you. I hope you can get something back through the various channels described at http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/news/travel/2016/07/low-cost-holidays-calls-in-administrators

This appears to have been a company who presented themselves as British but had moved to Spain and so aren't covered by Atol or ABTA protection. Their claim that the Brexit vote has caused their problems certinly doesn't ring true.

I wonder how many times we are going to hear BREXIT CAUSED IT in the coming months it will be a plaster for all cuts {dodgy deals gone wrong}

They were another company operating on wafer thin margins in the `Bed Bank` arena. When things tightened up in the UK re regulations on packages became more stringent, they threw a hissy fit, you can imagine why, and left the jurisdiction of the UK for Spain. Sadly todays news comes as no surprise. They were the type of firm living a hand to mouth existence and when business dipped they went..

At the time of its ending Spike, this company was actually based in Spain and Poland. It had left the  UK because of tighter regulations on how these companies were required to operate. They went to Spain 3 years ago because protection for the customer was much, much less than it would have been in the UK..Just so sorry of over 100,000 who are facing holiday misery..

   Oh yes Spike,before I forget, I see you are still posting your gibberish after the twitching hour...take more water with it  :P :-*

Are you still here?  ::)

The forecasts out today put the UK in recession in a few months time so you won't have to worry about foreign holidays. You won't be able to afford them.

Ivemovedon

Not to worry. There's  always a cheap weekend in Skegness.
