Is it possible to get a monthly contract mobile that allows cheap rate calls from Fuerte to the UK? Also what's the average monthly plan a) for a normal mobile and b) for my original question c) if there is not a plan available for fuerte to uk what would I expect to pay per minute

If you have an unlocked 'phone available try looking at 0044 via Google.
I have a SIM which has both Spanish and UK numbers and allows cheap(ish) calls to both countries.
This is PAYG not contract, although I have a DD in place for automatic ongoing top ups.

Happy Movil sim from The Phone House used to be cheap, just a couple of cents per minute to the UK, dont know how it is now but worth a try in an unlocked phone.

I always use Viber to call the UK. Free to another mobile with the Viber App, or Viber Out, dead cheap to any other phone. You need a good WIFI signal though otherwise you sound like Donald Duck
