I have heard that some one has fallen from a balcony and died.
Not sure at which hotel , but one of the two big ones on the beach just out of Correlejo .

I heard the same thing at Tres Islea on Saturday night. Was told it was a guest at La Oliva next door.

Found this report on PowerFM.  Terribly sad end to a holiday, my heart goes out to his family/friends.

A 63 year old male tourist has fallen to his death from the first floor of the Hotel Rui La Oliva Beach in Avenida Grandes Playas, Corralejo, in the municipality of La Oliva on the island of Fuerteventura.

The Guardia Civil are currently investigating the incident which happened at 16:15 yesterday (Friday, 28th February 2014).

Guardia Civil and the emergency services along with hotel staff were on scene but were unable to revive the man due to the severity of his injuries.

The authorities are awaiting the results of the autopsy to try and determine the cause of the accident.

Only earlier this week, on Tuesday, a similar accident occurred on the island of Lanzarote when a 74 year old tourist also fell to his death from the second floor of an apartment complex in the municipality of Teguise
