Cars In Caleta Impounded - "Precinto"

You may have seen some parked cars in Caleta at the moment with an official notice stuck on the window saying "Precinto". This means "Sealed" or Impounded. It is illegal to drive these cars or remove the notice.

The new Alcalde is having a purge, and Police are checking cars, if they have paid their Tax or have a valid ITV.

If your car isn't legal, and is parked on the road, it's best you sort it quickly.

I saw them on Friday, bit of paper Sellotaped over the doors, not exactly state of the art

The Council's budget here doesn't go as far as buying Wheel Clamps, plenty of sellotape though

If you look there all Renaults with possibly Gran Canaria plates and they've all got a little black and red sticker in the rear window.It looks like aa auto leasing/hire co have'nt been paying their bills Ive just noticed 2 or 3 more below El Kapitans this last hour

Must admit I thought they were probably hire cars.
