what happened to bar imagine?

What happened to bar Imagine ? we used to go there when we visited a couple years ago tall irish guy on a guitar with a bicycle which he spun round with a list songs on wherever it landed that's song he would play also a couple other people guy girl would sing a nice place to chill out in:)

When we visited last oct we we went there and sadly in its place was a strip joint/escort agency

The guy who had Imagine - Eric, is Dutch and he now plays in front of the Brisimar hotel.

Imagine folded way back in November 2012, I'm afraid. The closing night was quite something and the place was still buzzing when we left at 4am.

It had always been run on a shoestring, with the manager, Niamh, making ends meet as best as possible. I think the absentee landlord whose dream it was just lost interest in the end. Frankly, it was always going to be difficult to make an upstairs bar off the main strip work, but it was great while it lasted.

Shame about what it became.

Valid point there sheila upstairs bar off the mainstrip but it was a good place bit quirky great place to chill and listen to music shame it's gone was a bit different from the mainstream bars
