Hello Jon

I've done 42 days in the strict lockdown here, and this has now been extended for another 2 weeks. In that time I've only been out in the car once to Mercadona, and I've only been out of my front gate twice to go along to the bins.  Luckily we have been able to teach some of our students on Skype/Whatsapp as their parents are still working as teachers, in the hospital or for the councils.  This will keep us afloat financially.

Unfortunately, restaurants, bars and shops have been closed for 6 weeks now and I can imagine that Fuerteventura will be a different place when we come out of this. It's all so sad.

The President of the Canaries is hoping that flights from Spain will be allowed in from July, and international flights from October - but it's all guesswork at the moment.  It'll take months, possibly years, for the island to recover.

Thanks for that Steve.   Yes it really is sad and agree things will have changed considerably when this is all over. Glad to hear you're managing a hard lockdown it must be tough.
