I know this topic has been covered before in various threads, but having sifted through I can't find a definitive answer. I have an Ipad, and I'm going to be staying in a property with WiFi for the next couple of weeks. What software can I install (free!) before we fly out to be able to access BBC IPlayer, ITV Player etc out there? It seems Expatshield does not work for a mac/Ipad, and Hotspotshield gives you a US VPN. I'd appreciate any simple advice from anyone who has successfully navigated the problem! Many thanks in advance....

Dont know if you can on the ipod (you can on Android tablets) but download the Filmon app and watch all the UK channels.
Of course it will still depend on how good the Wifi is, I know you cant with V-sat or CanaryNet, whatever you choose still depends on the Wifi.
Hope this helps  :D

My other half uses filmon.com they have an app for ipad. All Uk channels no probs, and FREE. No need for any softwear or VPN.

Many thanks, Globetrotter and Woe.... I've installed the filmon app, and will see how it goes! Don't intend watching a clot of TV, but I miss the news etc, and like to feel smug watching the UK weather forecast where possible :D

You can get BBC News.

On iPad, for Corrie and Emmerdale, you're better off watching on YouTube the next day. Better quality and no adverts.
