In case anyone was wondering why the "Council Tax" was not debited from their account this year. If you had an account with La Caja (like me), when BANKIA took control, the town hall software didn't recognise the Direct Debit banking coding you had with La Caja i.e. your DD became obsolete and needs changed.

Really impressed with what they have done to the main street, place seemed to have a buzz about it again, new business's sprouting up all over, lots of Russians and Poles about, can only get better, fingers crossed.

La Caja de Canarias , now Bankia have made a real mess of the change over to the extent that staff have left to avoid continuing customer complaints

I suggest you check every transaction they make and more importantly you expect them to make

My phone was cut off because they did not pay my Direct Debit and I got charged 25.00 Euros to be re-connected!!!  Try and get my money back - I don't think so!

I have to admit, the customer service at Bankia seemed to have improved when I went in to sort out my Direct Debits,I could have been lucky and hit a good day. Highly recommend the "French Cafe" over the road, the cakes are to die for, great cup of Coffee also.
