Does anyone know the best place to go for an Indian meal I have been coming over for many years but have never found a good Indian

That's because there isn't one imho.  The one in Corralejo on the harbour
(sorry don't know the name) isn't bad, but not a patch on the best UK Indians.

Hi we had a lovely meal in the Taj Tandoori Restaurant in Caleta on Friday night.  The restaurant is on the corner above Legends (opposite Trafalgar).  The food was excellent and it was one of the nicest curries we've had in a long while.  They do a set menu too which is a choice of Onion Bhaji or Veg Pakora for starter, Chicken Tikka Masala or any Chicken curry off the menu with Basmati Rice all for €12.  They have a good choice of other dishes and we would deffo recommend it to anyone who fancies a curry. 
BTW, the Fusion 22 restaurant in Caleta is also very good but we didn't go there during this visit.

Sadly most "Indian" restaurants are either Pakistani or Bangladeshi - they insist on putting pineapple in their Dansaks - yuk!

I love pineapple in my curry Spike, its great to get a piece to bite into just after you have bitten in to a piece of scotch bonnett chillie

Fusion 22 in Caleta is very good. Went there on our last visit one of the best curries we have had, good choice of menu and good service.

Last time I went it was horrid like a Homepride sauce!! Must say this was at least 12 months ago

If you are ever in Corrie try the Jaipur , they do a very nice chicken tikka balti. beats my local lot in uk hands down. 2 weeks tonight

Jaipur in Corrie is decent,but for good Indian curry in Fuerte it has to be Fazz`s , nothing bad to say about the place !

Or catch the ferry to Playa Blanca in Lanzarote - the one on the seafront takes a lot of beating.

Anyone know a good Spanish or Majoraro restaurant in Mumbai [formerly Bombay] - I don't want to get there and eat any of that foreign rubbish

Agree with Fuerto crazy been to Raj on numerous occasions never had a bad meal, little on the pricey side, there is also another Indian further up from Raj which is also good (cannot remember the name though)

Best Indian takeaway I have had is from Amber in Corralejo. If you get a flyer from the guy at the corner of the street, by Bankia, then you get 15% off. I have tried a few in Caleta, but do not come up to scratch.

Fazz's and Jaipur are both OK quality-wise but there's nothing special about them, to my mind. Amber is our "regular" Indian restaurant, together with the Bombay for when we feel like paying a bit extra for the setting just off Music Square. Both serve traditional Indian desserts as well as the bought-in international ice-creams, plus lassi to drink. They're also happy to whip up a special raita or other things that aren't on the menu.

Amber does a really good deal set menu of popadoms (+sauces), choice of 2 starters and a main meal of chicken, fish or veg with any sauce. It's well under 10€; I think it may even be as low as 6.99€.

I think it's a shame to see holiday-makers coming here and spending the entire week in Bars and restaurants that resemble those 'back home'. OTOH, if you're eating out every night then it's nice to have variety: Spanish of course, but Indian, Chinese, Italian, French, Asiatic, British...too. And if you're an expat then it does you good to remind yourself of the better memories of 'home'.

Juiper in Corre is really good, we have been going there for years and always go back. Haven't had a bad one as yet.

Plus they will deliver to our villa.
