Agreed

Not a lot else to do at night when you LIVE in Fuerte.   Think about that when you're "Dreaming Of Living On The Rock Someday ..."  Paddster. After the first couple of years, going into Caleta to a Karaoke Bar is the last thing you want to do. It's fine Holidaymakers.

I have the ability to stream tv to the internet but not sure if there's a big enough audience to broadcast too :/
I recently hooked up my spare Virgin Media box to my pc and have all the channels imaginable on it except for sky sports as I refuse to pay for that, though I did recently find out that I get BT sport 1 & 2 for free!

Would anyone be interested if I started up a small site streaming the stuff people want? Xfactor on a saturday, soaps through the week etc?

Also apart from if anyone is interested, would people be interested also in spreading the word? Afterall, I would prefer not to be streaming to 1 person etc

Yeah your gonna need a decent ish connection, not saying that Canary Net isnt a good connection because it is but the problem is that several people will be connected to the hotspot at any one time.
Ideally you need a download speed of at least 1mb to stream anything of good quality.
Many mobile networks are capable of this now, failing that if you can use someones wifi then that would do.

I don't like karaoke  ;D ;D ;D ;D

dagwood

We checked the speed during the summer and were getting between 4-6 mb. There was a lot of holiday makers about but I think they were using WiFi on phones etc in Fabs and Mustangs. The young fella was down loading full lenght films in about 2 hours. Fully legal of course.

Well, seeing as 95%  of Bars in Caleta have Karaoke as the Main Attraction. You'll have no choice but to stop in and watch Corrie and Emmerdale like most of the other locals do. I don't do Eastenders though, can't understand those Cockneys  8)

woe 10 - whenever Filmon is down try www.myiplayer.eu.

Recording might be tricky but they have most of the UK channels including Sky Sports

Between 4 and 6 is fine for streaming and downloading films. I watched the new "Lone Ranger" about a month ago, well before it was released. TPB is great. ( and legal )

Not so sure about that.

They are not hosting anything pirated.
They just provide the links to pirated (and non-pirated) files.

What people do thereafter may or may not be legal.

If TPB is deemed  illegal then so should Google, Bing, Jeeves etc.
They all provide links to pirated (and non pirated) files.

Ho! my goodness watching something not legal, how could you. The tought of it makes me shiver. Think of all those poor billionairs that your doing out money.

You spent a month on medication when they axed Brookside Paddster . (Just a joke I think)                       I must say all these soaps are a pain in the butt for me as most of my work involves meeting clients in the evenings and I have to juggle the times these programs are on the tv, plus Man United, Liverpool etc.etc. Shes in one room watching soaps and hes in another watching football. How do we make a living at all ?

woe10 - nice choice of avatar. Definitely the strongest image.

I remember parading around my local streets with the album under my arm in the hope that people would think I was cool.

Still waiting.
