Very sad times for those struggling .

Time for Spain to really look at how it can improve its Economy and actually do something about it .

Tourism must be the way forward , get those empty homes full of tourists spending their money . Make renting property to tourists " tax free " . Peope with the cash will invest as paying no tax is a great for them .

What else does Spain have to offer to create jobs and income ?

For Las Palmas, the figure is 35.24% - the overall figure for the Canary Islands is 34.27%.

Hopefully that figure will decrease slightly once the holiday season gets into full swing, but it's still very bad news.
