IBI & Cadastral values.

I cant get a great translation for todays article in La Provincia....perhaps someone else can translate it. It appears that there may be a change in the Cadastral values on the way....hopefully they will be dropping? Lower IBI on the way perhaps?

Hi fifi,

I just had a quick read of that article there, and unfortunately, they values won't be changing at all!! It said that Antigua decided not to change them so as not to put the residents under more financial pressure during the crisis (so on that basis, it's probably good that they didn't change!!!), but there will be an increase in the actual rate of the tax next year it says.

It has gone up around 10-12% for each of the last two years any way.

I was hoping that it was going to  be reduced because  the houses are only worth half of what they were worth a few years ago.
