Hi,

I'm looking to rent a 3 bed 2 bath property in Caleta for 3 months from December 2013 - February 2014.

Can anyone help with suggestions or contacts?

Regards

Sarah

Good luck with you request.I'm in Caleta at the moment and the the word on the street is that most properties have been rented out already for next year and also  in some cases at vastly increased prices to this year. I've been coming to Fuerte at regular for the last 5 years and for me it's no busier than in any of my previous visits, also with the exchange rate dropping so much, flights costing more I find it hard to believe the heresay is true.

I am purchasing a 2 double bed at the moment I may be prepared to let it for that period but its only got a double and twin room Im afraid.

We go to caleta every Jan for two weeks and i booked flights for Jan 2014.I then started looking at accommodation in our usual complex that we like to stay in Castillo Mar and all the best apartments booked up,so may have to look elsewhere now.  :( so think you may be right about rentals

i would think the problem is because owners cannot now rent out property for holiday lets, because it is illegal.
you have to book through an agent registered on the islands for tourism, and not by owners ads.
check it out on the british embassy website to be sure

Some agencies are still letting out residential properties for the odd week or two regardless of the 12 week ruling. My mate has just booked one for 14 days!
