Happy Burns Night to all my Scottish friends.my daughters gone up to Edinburgh for the weekend,will she see any fireworks or anything ? No idea how it goes down up there with you guys ?

Doubt there will be any public fireworks displays.   There ware masses of Burns Suppers organised by clubs etc.    Some Hotels etc do have Burns Suppers for the public and some eating placing will have haggis etc on the menu this weekend.

Most of the haggis served will be the anti-clockwise breed.    They have left leg shorter than right and run round mountain tops anti-clockwise.   The haggis baggers send beaters up the mountains and chase the haggis round the mountain the other way.   It is difficult for the haggis with the short left leg to run round clockwise and they roll down the mountain sides and are caught by haggis baggers at the bottom.
There are the rarer clockwise breed and they survive longer before being caught and they are the large haggis that can be seen in butchers etc.

I'm not getting out tonight so I've got a haggis pizza in...

duncolm = i had haggis for the first time ever last year on Fuerte = loved it !
I ordered haggis n black pudding from McCleods of Stornoway last year online,my good friend Rob who lives on Fuerte said its the best in the world = not wrong,awesome !!!!
The black pudding is unbelievable ? So tasty ?  U tried it ?

The secret of good haggis and black pudding is the spice mix. I've eaten plenty black pudding over the years, though probably not one from a really good butchers. Must make an effort to try.

I remember years ago talking to a lad who worked in an industrial scale butchers in somewhere like Barrow in Furness. His description of the day the blood tank exploded was highly entertaining,

The haggis pizza has not been a success. Perhaps if it had some neeps mixed in it would have been better.
