Gifts for the children for the Feast of the three Kings

Yesterday volunteers and Social Services staff in Puerto del Rosario were busy  organizing  bags of gifts which will be  donated to families in financial difficulty so that no child will be left without a gift.


Each bag has a pair of shoes because that is what most families requested . Neighborhood associations in the municipality, through various charitable initiatives,  spent about € 3,000 to buy  300 pairs of shoes. Also included  were some clothes,  and  the most important thing for children, toys, which were  donated.

The objective of this campaign was that not a single child in   Puerto del Rosario, would be without a gift because of  poor economic conditions outside of their control. The City of Puerto del Rosario estimated that about 300 families will benefit.

Volunteers did what they could  to satisfy as far as possible, the wishes of the children using the lists provided.
