That place next door ...

Due to logistics and price    we had to settle for a week on that island next door from 5-12 to 12-12. Weather was decent but- What was worse, is that I could see the white sands of the grande playa in Corralejo from the place we were staying in PDC. Spent too much time pining !!
No 'cheap' flights from the south of Ireland to Fue ( for 4) in the near future so it could be a while...

We went to Lanzarote once. Due to some quirk on the TC website, the price for the low cost hotel we chose in Costa Teguise was actually less for half board than for self catering.
The food was so bad I ended up wishing we'd paid the extra....

I wonder why it is called "grotty" Lanzarote? Been there twice - Could'nt believe it the first time so decided to try another area -never again!!!!! NONE of the islands is as good as Fuerteventura.

Shamed to admit that I, too, have been unfaithful. Went to the "big" island at end of November. OMG, never again. Only because we couldn't get any flights at all in our budget. Had a week RO at a top hotel, with transfers,flights, reserved seats, airport parking and a night at HI Express beforehand for less than we could get flights only to FUE. But regret it. The beaches were not a patch on Fuerteventura, touts everywhere, and just a concrete jungle. We did have a good holiday - ate well, enjoyed the weather and a couple of good days out. But still a poor second to what we are used to. And flights for May are looking awfully dear at the moment. Hope some bargains appear or we might end up in Banham or Caskieberran (at the daughter or sister-in-law).
Oh for six numbers to come up!

Wasn't ideal -especially at night when I was after few beers standing on balcony staring fuerte direction.

It is a concrete jungle imo in PDC anyway and very grotty.
