More heavy rain today in Corralejo. It's hardly bloody stopped this last month :(

Captain Sensible

There has been a Yellow Weather Alert in place for yesterday and today, so I think we've been quite lucky to escape a lot of rain and stong winds.

There's only just been a shower at my house.  A chance of rain every day this week due to low pressure being close by.

anyone else think all this rain is the opening at the lower end of the alimentary canal through which solid waste is eliminated from the body end of that hurricane that america had

Captain Sensible

It's raining heavy in Caleta now - it's due to low pressure being in the wrong place!

Carlo

Lots of severe flooding in Lanzarote. Just been watching the news on TV Canaria and it's just shown the flooding here in Corralejo.

Really can't believe how mych rain we've had in the last month.

Don't think so. That storm turned inland rather than heading out across the Atlantic....

Video I took today.
Luckily the storm drains on the main street coped with the volume of water

Captain Sensible

The rain stopped in Caleta at 10pm.

I hope that there isn't any more.  The Council's new drainage system has worked near our house, after the houses in our area were all flooded in Nov 2010 and Jan 2011.  It's the first time the new drains have been really tested in the last 18 months.

That's a relief.  !

Captain Sensible

It certainly is Emmi :D   We were never sure that it would work effectively.

Captain Sensible

Not too much rain overnight in Caleta, but it started again at 06.30.

Carlo

Lashing down again in Corralejo.

Captain Sensible

Rain showers on and off during the morning in Caleta.

gymackem

Don't think we've had it as bad as Lanzarote - have seen some horrendous pictures posted from there reagrds the flooding  :(

Holy moly that`s wet!  We just got back from Corralejo on Saturday and it was beautiful - although the preceding 3 weeks were a little bit hit and miss. Hope everyone keeps safe out there.

No rain this afternoon / evening, up 'til now anyway. Very windy tonight and quite chilly. I'd put the heating on if I had any!

Captain Sensible

Dry in Caleta this afternoon as well, but that NE wind is cool.
