  The island is one of those places, some visitors hate the place and vow never to return and then you have visitors who just fall in love with the place the peace and tranquility and return year after year.

You have answered the question yourself, this forum does have some odd individuals( Like all forums) but then everyone is entitled to their opinion and I cant say I have ever read anything really offensive on here.

The info provided on here relating to all things Fuerteventura is first class, everything else I take with a pinch of salt and an understanding that we are all unique in our ways and opinions.

Hi Chesternuts, Fuerteventura is definitely not a homophobic island. Quite the opposite actually. The Minister for Tourism has been actively trying to attract more gay people to the Island for the past couple of years.

Caleta is a small town yet has Phoenix bar, Pierros, Stage Door, Beer Garden and the large venue under the Monte Castillo center which all show drag acts and all are popular.

Homophobes may get aroused around these parts....
