Very hot temperatures are forecast for this Friday and Saturday as hot air from Africa covers the whole of mainland Spain and the Canaries 8) 8).

 :( Got some unused summer clothes, sun tan lotion,after sun,sandals/flip flips,sunglasses, UNUSED here in the uk if anyone wants them shipping over ;) ;) 8) ;D

The Canarian Government have issued a Yellow Alert for high temperatures on Thursday, and going up to an Orange Alert on Friday :P.

It's the 5th mini-heatwave to hit the Canaries this year 8)

The advise, as usual, is to drink plenty of water :P, and avoid doing anything strenuous in the middle of the day ;)

Not too bad today - 30 in the shade at 2pm 8), but the temperatures will be HIGH from tomorrow :P

There is some easterly in the wind - looking like calima here in Tuineje and warming up - 37C at the moment [in the sun]. Expecting hi 40's later with north easterly winds so Neville the cat will need to come indoors into his private air conditioned room [he has breathing problems!]

Remember the Captains advice - drink loads of water, no activity early to mid afternoon [stay indoors] and we say Factor 50 cream if you're on holiday, Factor 30 if you live here. Don't spoil your holiday by getting burnt or even worse getting sun stroke.

Wear a hat -enjoy!
