Busy day for Rosario as 7000 visitors arrive on 3 Cruise ships on the same day. The shops will be happy. Queen Victoria arrives for the 1st time 3rd April..

When our car needed special maintenance due to compute trouble, we once had to spend more than 6 hours in Puerto de cabras (the original name, why they ever changed it???)
We wish 7000 passengers a lot of patience, endurance and resignation (and gallows humor)

They could do so much more to make the area around the port more appealing. The pedestrianised part is pretty gross and although there are a few eateries, they're nothing to write home about and you'd struggle to get anything half decent to eat. There's not any bars either to speak of and even if there were then would you really want to sit outside along here and look at a hideous mixture of office blocks and ugly shop facades. There is potential along the Promenade but unfortunately this hasn't been exploited. In typical Fuerteventura fashion they dont really have an eye for design or a palate for good taste. If you want to see how it can/should be done then pay a visit to Arecife and the area around the port. It's called Charco de San Gines.

No idea what you are on about? We go quite often for a few hours and like the place. 

Know what you mean. We have seen places that could make us like Coleta.

Compared to Invergordon (Scotland) another very popular cruise ship port of call, Rosario is nirvana and at least the sun is usually shining.

I heard, from somone that does not have their own transport, that cruise ship passengers get the service buses to places on the island from PR sometimes leaving the locals unable to get on the buses at intermediate stops because they are full to the legal capacity.  Anyone on this bb heard similar or experienced it for themselves?

People on cruises don`t tend to be short of cash so I would think would book an excursion if they wanted out.

Totally agree about Cumbria Asworth, that is why our UK home is there, I always say the best thing about London is the 17.45hs out of Euston to Oxenholme 🤣🤣🤣

In London you have The Arts, Galleries, Museums, Theatre, Music, Comedy and wonderful architecture. London attracts some of the most talented chefs in the world and has restaurants and diverse cuisine to match. London has 24 hour public transport where you can get around easily and quickly using trains, buses, boat and taxis. London has the best parks in the UK and probably in the whole of Europe. That is why London gets over 30 Million visitors a year and generates 22% of UK GDP.

Ha ha. Each to their own I suppose. For me, somewhere that has endless people, endless streets, endless pollution, endless traffic, ok, pretty much endless everything that I do not want in my life is not for me. But that`s just me. I prefer the wide open spaces of anywhere, just not the weather of Cumbria, lol (or Scotland for that matter !)

Spent a few years living and working in FV enjoying the quiet life, the empty spaces and turquoise seas. Like you, I was called back to civilisation. By then had been priced out of our wonderful capital but am close enough to pay her a visit every now and then to sample her delights. Will never tire of London.

I would guess between 07:00 and 08:00 based on what time most of the liners arrive they spend as much time at sea as possible, and will leave again at 18:00/19:00

They do not always come up to the East John, but I have checked and its route forecast puts it passing Pozo Negro at 06:29 so it should be visible up until 06:40.
