Above the ground swimming pool

I wondered if anyone knows if a building or any other permission is required for a swimming pool above the ground.

The intent is to have a small ("dip") pool, 4ft (1.2m) deep and something like 9ft (3m) by say 8.xft (2m) wide/long.

I found some guys in GC posting on milanuncios a wooden pool of similar dimension at cost of just bekoe EUR 3k, did not contact anyone yet, still on the though process....

I just hoped to be a bit more clear if any building (etc) permit is required.

I have a 5mtr Intex pool. One of the ones with the blow up rim. Never even considered if it needed any permissions, it`s plastic, non permanent & easily put up & down. Don`t see why something like that would need any to be honest !!

Temporary structure so no planning documents required.

If you dug a hole it would be different or started putting down concrete.

We just assembled a 4m*3m*2,5m shed on a pallet "floor" in a rustic environment. If anyone complained, they'd be told where to go.

No "building" usually means no licence. But DO NOT ASK YOUR TOWNHALL. They automatically say that you can't do it and a project is required. Again, they only take action against people if a complaint from someone lands on their desk.

The pool in mind may require a sand base, it's a wooden frame and has plastic liner, but it's not permanent structure.

Where we are, there are people who have done all sorts of modifications and there were complaints by their neighbours, so officially no one is allowed to do anything.

Officially there should not be any expansion on the existing buildings footprint, yet some have enlarged their living spaces by more than 30%. I guess IBI has not changed.....

We're not on a complex, just a (what appears to be) normal street. We do have an "shared" TV and telephone exchange box that the developer still has a key to. Apparently the intent was for someone to assume the role of "administrator" but as most houses the developer built are either 2nd homes, investments or rented out, there is little appetite for Comunidad. Bottom line I have no idea, I understood the house and land are what we own, good old freehold.

But there are some people, various nationalities, who have made internal and external alterations to the houses and some of it was reported to police.

The avalanche of problems (Sh!~# h!# fan) just flew all over the place, so what I would consider creature comforts, security and privacy increments are now a huge IF.

So I just thought the forum may have people with actual experience of dealing with these matters.
