Re Register Motorbike

Just a simple question, no I am not buying a Pitbull, Flying Ryanair, and as for Brexit thats a no starter, apologies to Imovedon, dagwood, erik, spitfire, calculator, the old goat if this has already been answered countless times , but I cant find a recent thread.

Does anyone know someone on the Island that is capable of getting a British registered Motorbike road legal out here I am willing to pay real pennies as I am not the best with dealing with the local paperwork.

I know I have import duty etc to pay but after that I am in the dark.

I know Woodside Cargo do it for vehicles they have shipped across, they may be amenable to doing it anyway, it is worth a try.

Hi Blata, contact Annette in Woodside before bringing the Bike over. She is so helpful and will have a lot of advice on how to do things properly. I had to ask her advice for the very same thing for a friend of mine. Woodside can help you with bringing the bike over or if you prefer just help you with the translation side of paperwork. As with all things to do with paperwork in Spain nothing is as simple as you think it is going to be so her advice is invaluable.

Not a bad idea Archer, avoids all the paperwork but would you not have to have the plates off the same model/type ??

Not a stupid question. There are such things as left and right hand motor bikes🏍 it depends on which side the side car is fitted to comply with laws of the county your in.

You may scoff, but my solo bike is left-hand drive!

Specifically designed and built for UK military, headlight has lefthand lens, with converter for normal use. The story I was t old was that the Army spend more time on active service abroad than in UK, so they make vehicles to suit. I've never known how true that is.

Bike is British built Armstrong MT500, on a B prefix plate.                   

btw, Left side kickstart, no electric starter.
