Can anybody recommend products that can be purchased in Fuerte that can help protect outdoor furniture from the effects of the sun ?

Hi Geoff, if it's plastic then nothing will except shade. Plastic doesn't do great in the sun out here. If wood then a yearly sand or scrub down, stain & a good coat of yacht varnish is about as good as you can do. Best advise I can give is to keep all outdoor furniture as much under cover as possible when not in use. HTH

Some plastics can be made to look good by using baby oil. Use a small amount and try a small test area first.

Baby oil also useful on metal shutters to bring back the original colour. Incidentally its on special price in Eurospar at moment.
