If anyone does have rubbish to dispose of, the recycling center/punto limpio in Puerto del Rosario (behind NortySur/Electron is open Tuesday to Sunday 9am-7pm.

They recycle electrical items, wood, garden waste, plastic, paper, wood, paint containers, x-rays and general building waste.  I took a mixed load in the car today, and the man showed me where to put the various things.
