Where can I source caustic soda? aka sodium hydroxide, sosa caustica.

Before I begin my search, I  thought I'd throw it about here.

Possibly drain cleaner, I'll start at Mercadona, then ferrateria Hondura, then saavedra.

Can anyone clarify if said shops stock it, or similar.

Motives; I'm not going to kill anyone. It's an alternative to curing olives.

Sosa caustica. Most of the ferriterias sell it in 1kg bags of flakes.

Easy to get. I got some in the Chinese shop at El Mattoral on my last trip. Something like 500 grams for about 2.50â,¬ or so

Yes, they sell it in Mercadona too, and in Spar, Atlántico Centre!

Read an article in El Pais this evening about olives that included a comment about the people avoiding a repeat of the caustic soda method!
