Holiday rental market

Hi all,

I have a 1 bed bungalow on vista golf 1 in caleta and rather than sell it I am contemplating holiday let's.

Can I ask how much it is for the tourist licence so I am able to do this?

Also do you know if the market is busy and this is worth doing and assuming the bungalow is in good condition what kind of price I should expect for the week.

Also the cost of cleaning etc, key hand over etc.... haven't been to fuerte for at least 3 years so completely out of the loop.

I suggest you put "holiday letting" in the search box, top right and have a read of the threads that come up. The issue still isn't settled so your guess as to what it will be eventually is as good as anyone else's. Don't believe estate agent and lawyers who say that they can get you a licence, the much vaunted legislation that was passed was declared void and suspended, and as yet nothing else has been put in it's place. At the moment my feeling is that any bit's of paper or or signs designating "official" holiday let properties are pretty much worthless. I wish that they weren't as I've been waiting years to get a straight answer and to be able to let legally.

Technically, you can still apply for a licence under the rules that were set prior to the suspension of the law in September.
As they have also suspended any inspections or fines until the law has been amended/or not, there doesn't seem to be any need to get one at the moment so I would keep your money in your pocket for now.
If you check out sites such as Owners Direct or Holidaylettings, you may find some on your complex to get an idea of rates and occupancy.

You should, of course, register to pay taxes on your rental income, as I'm sure everyone does.
