Hi

we coming to Fuerte in a weeks time and wife is panicking about liquid bag!!

Should we buy Shampoo, conditioner and toiletries when we arrive and only take sun cream. I think real question is - what is most expensive in Fuerte?

If you're talking about the liquids bag in your hand luggage, you surely can't get enough suncream in it for a holiday?  You can buy everything in Fuerteventura anyway.

We don't bother packing toiletries and suntan creams as they are no dearer to buy in the supermarkets. (leaves room in the case for a few more bits of clothing)

All liquids, shampoo, conditioner, sun cream, after sun, all can be purchased in a Fuerteventura , you have a choice of Mercadona, HiperDino and Euro spar supermarkets all with good prices. The perfume shops that sell the sun creams are slightly more expensive than the supermarkets, you also have souvenir shops selling suncreams as well at good prices

I always buy travel size shampoo, conditioner, hair spray, bodywash etc at the airport on way out.  Goes on board as hand lugage and just last 2/3 weeks. Superdrug normally have 3 for 2 (but it's cheap anyway, and animal friendly :-*) . Most airports seem to have one. If you have family with you and want larger sizes everything you want in supermarkets as said before.

Last time we went out Boots in the airport, after you go through security which is where the 100ml limit in hand luggage applies, had the same offers as their high street stores.

If you are taking hold luggage no restriction apart from the total weight of your case before you may have to pay an excess baggage charge.

As others have said there is plenty of choice at very reasonable prices out there.

Snowdrop

Best sun cream from Aldi - fuerte it's brand names and equal prob same euro price as £'s in uk.   Brought cheap one once in fuerte and felt that it was a much lower factor than stated on bottle.

As we go to a Villa, we only take cabin luggage only.
Surprising what you can take in a small 10kg capacity case.

But to save on the weight so the Mrs can take even more gear, we always buy what toiletries/suntan cream we need over there.

When one takes into account the cost to take Hold luggage it more than pays to buy over there.

Every November we book in one case one way, from September onwards all the supermarkets hugely reduce the price of their sun tan lotion. We completely fill the case with these and this does us for the 6 visits (12 weeks) we are there, saving us quite a bit. 8)

Other than that it's only hand luggage.
