Lockable door and window handles

Hi,

Anyone on La Capellania changed their door and/ or window handles for a key lockable type?  If so, could you let me know where you purchased them from please and the cost if you can remember.

If not, where is the best place to look on the Island?

I did this in the past and got a guy how could source them. However when I recently wanted to replace a shutter door with a lockable door handle due to broken handle I called the guy up but he no longer is available.

I did a search all over. Went eventually to AFT (aluminium place) on Honduras industrial estate near the Mercadona  (Rosario). He took handle over to Gran Canaria and had no success finding exact match but got something which I could use to replace the non locking one (with a bit of manipulation by me). AFT were aware of problems matching door furniture for Tamaragua, seems like they were a one of design for Tamaragua and a problem getting replacement parts. However it is possible as all my inside widows were replaced with lockable door handles.

If you find a source do let us know as I`m sure lots of people are looking.

You could try Alucan, on the same industrial estate as Ideal in Rosario. As you come off the roundabout on to the Industrial Estate, instead of turning right to go up to Ideal, go straight on and turn left at the Renault showroom.

He does security upgrades , supplies new life locks and fits them ,

If he can't help , perhaps he could give you some advice etc

At last found a lockable handle that has done the job. Not an exact match but so long as the window is centred within the frame they work.

Got these at Alucansa which is located as above in Deso's reply and link - guy there really helpful. 

All windows and doors now have these fitted. Cost approx 15 - 16 euros each.
