New Year's Eve

Hi, in November i booked a table for new year in  Caleta (no names yet) and I rang them yesterday to confirm ( imback in the UK ) and was told it's now a set menu and free drink for â,¬90 per person not sure about entertainment just wondering if this normal practice . We were in caleta last year and just booked a day before and had a choice of menu .
Is this a taste of things to come pardon the pun as the resort becomes more popular .
Any thoughts( by the way we're not minges ).

I've got money says this is a Spanish run place to have the audacity to charge so much. You can get a good meal at your choice of restaurant then go on to a bar and chose your entertainment for the price of a few rounds of drinks.

That is stupid money, There are decent enough restaurants in Caleta Gambirinus, Fado Rock El patio just to name a few, where you could eat well for half of that, leaving the other half to get blasted on, I really cannot believe anyone would be able to justify that amount of money.

The attitude on Fuerteventura has changed over the years.

On NYE there are bars that ask double or even more and taxi drivers will ask the limit.

for some strange reason I do not mind paying Taxi drivers extra, but i would not pay any more in a bar, i have been doing it for years and it has only just occurred to me???

I know that they gave chang d there menu , and a small proportion don't like it ,

We have been invited to a NYE gala dinner luckily it's free of charge (although i was advised that it's normally â,¬196 for two which I didn't believe) at one of the large Caleta hotels.
Hope the taxi fare from the airport is still â,¬15.
