Electron seem to have the monopoly on electricals and their choice also isn't the best, no Sony models for example.

I'm thinking along the lines of Amazon.es or a mainland Spanish electrical store. Any got any experience of buying online and having it delivered here. Is it possible?

We have had some delicate items delivered undamaged.
You need to be careful with pricing. If you buy from a Spanish company, you will pay full VAT then, when it arrives here, you may still pay IGIC and customs fees.
Unless you want anything specific, Electron is probably your best and safest bet.

I've bought Sony from there in the past. Have you spoken to them, can you buy from them on line?

Arrange a weekend in GC, buy in Mediamarkt. That's what a local would do.

Bought my new All in One PC, not available here, from Amazon in the UK. Had it delivered to Woodside Trading's warehouse in the UK (usually free). They brought over & delivered it to my house in Fuerte. You have to make arrangements with them beforehand of course. Plus, it may take a bit longer to co-incide with their trips/loads. You do have to pay a small amount of Tax.
But I can recommend them.

Trouble is I can't give the price because we had several items in one load. 8)

Electron's on line site only has a very small proportion of what they sell on it. I recently wanted an item which did not show on the web site but was available ex-stock. Another alternative is to use these people, http://www.tenerifeelectrodomesticos.com/ who deliver to Fuerteventura once a week. They do have Sony televisions, albeit only 2. Hope this helps.

Stone Free

Electron quite often have Sony TVs in stock.  It all depends on what's on the next container.  It's not the same as in the UK where most shops rely on JIT (just in time inventory management).

I'm a fan of Sony TVs and earlier in the year I was able to compare Sony, LG & Samsung at Electron.  LG & Samsung were superior to Sony, especially LG's OLED screens.

If you are looking for the ultimate in picture quality, you might want to consider a 4K TV with HDR (high dynamic range):

If you buy from Amazon.es, they should knock off the VAT but you might have to pay import duties.

Buying a TV is a very subjective and personal choice.  It's best to compare them in a shop before making a decision.

Can the Man

My advice is buy an LG Smart TV, far better than Sony
