Poppy Appeal 2016

Once again I shall be distributing Poppy Appeal boxes in Corralejo and Caleta. I hope to start rolling everything out from Tuesday. I hope to be able to place collection points at the usual places and if anyone is able to either assist in the distribution or would like to have a collection point then please let me know.
I shall update this topic with locations once I have distributed everything.

Don't just wear a poppy for the memory of the fallen, wear it for the future of the living.

Fighting at the Battle of the Somme began on 1 July 1916 and lasted four and a half months. In total, 60 nations from across the British Empire and Europe were involved in the fighting across a 25 kilometre front. When the offensive finally came to a halt on 18 November 1916, the Battle of the Somme had claimed a million casualties; 430,000 from Commonwealth countries, with a third of this number killed.

!00 years later our troops are still being killed and injured serving their country and our future.
