Driving back from Betancuria to El Cotillo yesterday, we noticed that the Happy Plants signs at the roadside are no longer there. Has Happy Plants stopped trading does anyone know?

The owners lived around the corner from us and told us when we were there earlier this year that they were trying to sell it.

We drove past Sunday at about 13:45, and there was a Mini van with the Happy Plants sign on it where the Transit van used to be, but yes when we were thee some months back they were trying to sell as they want to move to South Africa

We bought our plants from Paul & Saskia at Happy Plants earlier this year and emailed them some photos on Monday this week and got a response on Tuesday with an answer to a query re fertilizer and they indicated they would see us next time we are over to go through what to do re plant nourishment, so I would say yeas they are still there and in business.

Re the road side sign it can be either the van or the mini if the van is in use.

Love 'em to death....just a shame she's Dutch and he's Welsh

PS ... when i asked about nourishment they told me the U Turn bar does a good burger)

Books Cards & Things Corralejo

Still up and running but the mini is not there when they are closed - maybe it was after 6.

Just joking. a very nice couple indeed. They told us it was just getting too much. They aren't getting any younger and its a tough job. Added to that the temperature in the garden centre always seems 10 degrees hotter than elsewhere. Must be its location in the valley.
