Pluscar, without doubt.  No extra insurance charge, no excess to pay, no fuel scams.  And good friendly service.  The downside? You may not get a shiny new car.

I have used PAYLESS for a number of years, no hassle, pay cash, inexpensive, no hidden extras, always had a newish car. I have never bothered to read any of the bumf I sign,  highly irresponsible, but its Spain, they will do whatever they want anyway what's the point.

Payless,never a problem and pay cash  ;D

Agree, except I use the upmarket division of  Cabrera Medina group, Cicar. The horror stories that surround some of the other hire car companies are terrifying.
Mentor to the boneheads.

We also always went with Cicar

Agree with the comments above have used Cicar, Pluscar and Payless all good,  but will add avoid Goldcar at all cost

Can the Man

I agree with all the above.

I have used and continue to use
1. Autoplus (Plus cars) http://www.pluscar-fuerteventura.com/booking.php?lang=en
2. Payless http://www.payless.es/es
3. Cabrera Medina http://www.cabreramedina.com/ES

Do NOT under any circumstances book Goldcar

I have included the web links for the above as it is worth checking out all 3 to see who has the best offers.

Don't forget when driving on Fuerteventura, you must ALWAYS carry your Drivers Licence, Passport, and Car Rental Agreement on you.

Just to back that up ...ANYONE but GOLDCAR

Or Orlando (but especially Goldcar)...

We've used Topcar AutoReisen for as long as we've been visiting Fuerteventura. Never had a problem, no fuel scams, no top up insurance. Book on line & only pay when yo pick up. Not always the best new shiny cars, but we actually prefer that.

Yes ok company, used them this year and got a brand new Citroen C3, but be aware they offer the top up insurance now, although certainly no hard sell at all, but if you say no, they block E180 on your credit card..To be fair often a very good price and we have booked them again for next April. They are also very slow at processing customers, so try to avoid arriving on a Weds or Saturday
I HATE computer thingyss

Cicar every time. Used umpteen times, never any problems  :D

I am registered with Cicar so they have my details on file which saves time when I collect. Always a good price and their insurance cover is Comprehensive. Last year I had a bump in a carpark and was not charged for the damage. I always opt for a basic car and am always given a 5 doors with air con. Today I have picked up a brand new corsa with only delivery milegae on the clock.

Well, you'd better not bump it in the car park then :)
