Hi, I pay my electric bills every 2 months via direct debit. I have had 2 payments taken out this month, has anyone else had an extra bill this month.

Yes.  One reflects the usual amount but the other is for â,¬15 79 which I cannot explain.

In my case it was because  we had new "smart" meters installed last month, so one had a final reading on the old one and a new month reading on the new one.

We have had 3 taken from our bank this month!!! 😡  Looking into it but not easy...  :-X

We had the same a year ago, apparently they are changing clients who are on a smart meter onto monthly billing again, and gradually intend to put ever house on to a smart meter.

bridlife

Endesa have started to bill every month know on our estate.

Windermeregolfer

I am lead to believe Endesa have had issues with the meters on our new development and have now put in new meters so presume they will be smart meters and we will be billed monthly, watch this space.

DaveW

We had our meter changed a couple of years ago and went to monthly billing then after a few months reverted to two monthly.

Did I hear somewhere that you can get a reduced rate if you own your own property

DaveW

You can get a 12% discount if you sign up for their one Luz tariff .
You have to sign up on line and have electronic bills.

cockney

That sounds good but is there any down side such as a minimum usage?

You can read all about it on their website - they have an English language version:

Has anyone else had problem registering online with Endesa? Completed the boxes it asks and it ticks a green tick by each box but then when I click submit it just will not take me any further. Tried on laptop, ipad and android tablet all with the same result.

I tried to register on Monday, did all that was required, when I clicked on submit it just kept on working, I gave up after 15 mins.

Tried updating java. Tried using chrome, IE and firefox. Tried clearing cache. Tried using sfc/scannow (using admin). Tried using compatability mode. Used dism repair tool from MS to repair windows images as dropdown boxes not working on Endesa webpage.Glad to hear its not just me having problems. Think I will give up and stick to paper bills and tariff I`m on!!

DaveW

I had a similar problem when I tried to sign up. After three attempts they contacted me and set it up for me.

Same for me a few months ago and I gave up after 4 or 5 attempts. No one contacted me. I keep meaning to have another go .........

It was a while ago, I think that I tried to use their online chat but they couldn't speak English and they got someone to call me who could.

Yes, we went onto smart meter and got two bills in quick succession but now we're back to a bill every two months.

The One Luz contract gives 12% discount but they've now just offered Tarifa Tempo Siempre Gana with the same 12% reduction but also approx half price power for 14 hours a day, from 2200 to 1200 (winter).  Tried to sign up but website seemd to crash.  I had the same messages when I tried to sign up to One Luz and then got emails saying i'd succeeded.

Biggest problem with a discount period is getting t'other half to change her lifetime habits and do washing and stuff when it's cheap.  She did point out that operating washing machines is not exclusively a female activity.

Looking forward to the day I tick the "One way only" box when booking flights to Fuerte. [:)]
