A recent survey by Trip Advisor (yes ok I know...) rates Jet2 as 10th out of the top 16 carriers in the world. Top was Emirates, so they are in esteemed company. Anyway you can peruse the full details here:

Think you are mistaking them for Monarch, from personal experience, they are dire  >:(  ..Jet2`s accolate is for on board service and generally how they get looked after. Jet2 although expensive, have a reputation for always collecting passengers and not just cancelling flights. They have a huge following, certainly out of Leeds.A lot of the old `sheds` have been scrapped, they have newer 737-800`s in service and will start to take delivery of quite a few brand new ones starting next month I think. The 757`s use has been downgraded as well.

Good stuff if so.  We went on them to Majorca from Leeds two years ago on a 25 year old plus 737-300 that we had to get off twice as it had "gone tech".

Just found this, I'll stand by my "Old sheds" theory ;)  (I'm with you re Monarch tho)
