Ryanair to make parents pay for reserved seats

Travelling to Belgium in a couple of weeks with RA first time we will have flown with them, paid extra to go Business plus, £108 for both my wife and I return,reserved seats, extra legroom, fast track, 20kg each, bargain bargain, never used RA or Easyjet before but what a bargain, what do people really want, if you can afford the holiday reserve your ruddy seats 😎😎😎😎

I don`t want reserved seats if I have to pay for them, don`t care where I sit, although some seats are not as good as others, still though, never had a seat so bad I felt the urge to stand up. unlike the selfish sods who insist on standing in the isle for the whole flight,getting in everyone`s way and sticking their stinking butts into other people`s space. Damned nuisance they are.

Many a true word spoken in jest Paully, the jetskier (spits) is an obvious choice for the beerbike, they`ll love it. Anything that isn`t hard to do and attracts interest, (and preferably makes a noise) is just the job.

There must be a market for Adults only flights and most would be happy to pay a little more for the comfort zone, and maybe  its about time RA started charging passengers by their weight weight and how many seats they require to fit into!

That should get some of you reeling in the isle!

What about the "disabled" people in wheelchairs who scoot to the front of the check-in queue, then get priority treatment to get on the plane, and then appear happy to wander up and down the aisle to the loo?

Oh yeah, they should fit commodes or make them wear adult nappies (let's hope one doesn't have to sit next to you in his / her soiled nappy. )
Are you serious in that you object to someone disabled using the toilet ? ? ? They should just sit there and wet themselves..or mess themselves ? ?

No Hev, you`ve missed Bedouin`s point. I`ve seen it and so have you, the `disabled` in the wheelchair, priority everything for free, then once airbourne lo and behold a miraculous cure. They have no probs with mobility, walk up and down the aisle with ease..There were two on my last flight but one walked off without waiting for any assistance and without any obvious problems..

Don't tar all disabled and wheelchair users with the same dirty brush.   But yes there are some abuse the system.  A friend was a wheelchair pusher at Edinburgh airport and told of quite few similar abuses.
As to adult only flights doubtful. Mind there are some so called adults who are worse than kids.  Like my stinking, stinking neighbour.   But we could have sections of plane which are adults only.  As well as solving the kicking the backs of seats etc would also lessen problem of kids sitting with parents and amazing how kids quieten down in company of other kids.   When smoking was allowed on planes there was the smoking section, so easy to do and computer systems will automatically seat families in the families section.
Come on RA be a leader on this.

Adult only hotels have been tried, particularly by Thompson,s and according to an acquaintance of my gets very limited support.

The new Royal Palm hotel in Jandia is adult only and is so far managing very high occupancy rates. Maybe it's an exception.

My sister and her husband love kids but when they go on holiday they will only stay at adult only places - they've been doing this for some years and say it has become very popular.
I'd certainly support an adults only flight or at least an adults only section. Now that my days of taking my own children on holiday are over I find I have far less patience with other people's misbehaved ones, perhaps it's just my age!

I take my grand kids on our Spring sortie to Fuerteventura et al, and they love it.  But they are also well behaved and sit quieter than some adults on the plane!!
I think its sad that some want childless flights/hotels as the kids in this day and age, with all the pressures that life brings nowadays onto them, deserve a break too.
Looking at my two lying on the sun lounger next to the pool or beach chilling out saying: this is brilliant etc, tells me they are doing just that - relaxing.

So in my opinion its not the kids that need sorting, its more like their parents or guardians taking them on holiday that need to control them better.
Having said that there are lots of places, beaches etc  that offer peace and quiet once there

We love child-friendly hotels, restaurants etc.

The joy of watching our children, and now our grandchildren, enjoying themselves and interacting with others is hard to beat.
Our own girls were born into the time before all-day drinking and indoor family facilities (really not that long ago you'd be relegated to the garden, or a lean-to at best). They were not even of school age when the drinking laws changed and families became welcomed into pubs and other places.
Now, family outings can be so much better, more natural, fun.

We love adult only hotels, restaurants etc

Relaxing, quieter - or noisier according to your preference - proper grown-up time.

It's all a matter of whether you have your own, lovingly cared for, well behaved, kids with you or you're surrounded by other people's marauding little horrors.

We can do both, according to the occasion

Just booked return flights from Fue to Stansted for my Grandson & his Mum to come over here next month on RA.. it didnt actually say we had to book seats but I did and it was only £6 a seat. There were 3 different seating levels from premium through to standard (rows 18 - 30 were cheapest for some reason I can't remember)

Booked  RA for my flight in November.... £90 return including extra leg room. Paying twice that to come out in a couple of weeks with Jet2.

Flying to most destinations we allways pay the extra for bussinessclass.
Unfortunately they don't offer  bussinessclass on flights to the Canarias.
Must be because the vast majority of visitors are price oriented

Quick check shows BA Business Class £637.12 ex LGW 12 Oct, return 19 Oct, so you can do it.

There are also plenty of air-taxi firms and executive jet operators who would be glad to take your money for a special flight.

Or just put up with slumming it with the rest of us proles.

BA business class on long haul routes is OK.  However, for a flight to Fuerte on say a 737.what you will get is a seat near the the front, with two people sharing a row of three seats. OK, you will get free drink, better food & be fawned over a bit, but is it worth it?
Probably the best perquisite, is access to the business lounge so you do not have to rub shoulders with the proles while you wait for your flight.

There is no BA from Fuerteventura to the south of Holland.
Normally we have all the time to select a flight on a perferred airline which provide better confort and service (eg Tuifly, Airberlin).
Other criteria are the departure and arrival time and the airport (we avoid major airports)

Sometimes however we don't have the luxury of time:
2 months ago we had to get back asap so the next day we had an early Binter to Las Palmas,
an Iberia to Madrid and a RyanAir to Weeze. And we were glad we got there on time!
