I have received a notification from our much loved postal service headed
LEA DETENIDAMENTE ESTAS INSTRUCCIONES
I have attempted to translate it but I still do not understand it I have rung them and they responded by Emailing me another copy of the same document! the prcel contains a replacement pair of Binoculars bought of Ebay for circa 60 euro any body any idea what is going on?

Could be anything, hard to say without seeing the original document. If you are based in Caleta why not take it into the town hall office and ask the English speaking girl there if she would be kind enough to help with a brief translation? Or type it into Google translate? You at least will get the rough idea.

It's very likely to be a request for further information to help assess customs charges, and in the meantime your parcel will be help in Las Palmas. I don't have a copy in front of me, but it's asking you to "read these instructions carefully", and you should spot the word 'aduana', customs, in the introductory text.

If it is, they ask you to provide documentary evidence of the eBay transaction via email, not as difficult as it sounds. They will then send the parcel on to Fuerte with a customs charge to pay on delivery.

Emmi's suggestion is sound, they are very helpful in Caleta Ayuntamiente!

Is It a Yellow & Blue slip of paper with a VEGA number on it? If so they want full details of the item & proof of your payment for it too. I scan these docs. & email them to the email address on the slip. Quote the VEGA no. on your, email att. docs & they usually respond by email.
Then it is delivered to you, as said above, with a tax plus an admin charge!!
Good luck! 8)

Yes it does have a VEGA number, but the form yellow

VEGA yes OK.
Well that is what they need from you then, as I said. Do you have a printer/scanner?
Their email is - avisoscza.laspalmas@correos.com Should be on the form.
Quote the VEGA No. on your reply.
