New road and bus service number 6 etc

Does anyone know what route this bus (Puerto del Rosario to Corralejo) will take once the road is complete?  Will the bus still serve Las Caletas and Parque Holandes?  Is it definite that the dune road will close?

If the dune road is due to close is that from the south? do they want you to go north to come back south, rather polluting from an emissions point of view

Definite isn't a word you hear often when you live here . I really think it's too soon to be trying to tie them down to the details - it probably won't happen for another couple of years, if at all.

I would imagine they'll have to find some way of serving those areas. They can't just leave them high and dry. Come to that, what about those two hotels in the middle of the to-be-closed area?

As with anything there will be many rumours........
We heard said they would be putting a barrier across the road so that emergency services could still get through and taxi's etc.  So it sounded like the road would still be accessible but not to cars...........

I think one plan was to close the `old road` just after the second hotel, travelling south, as it were, to ensure access. However, the beaches and dunes are popular and you only have to look at the number of parked cars to realise this. So, it would`nt suprise me, if the old road was to be renamed but left open..

Not much point in a by pass if you leave the old road open. It has to be left open for tourism reasons, it would be mad not to. It was never needed and is a total waste of time and money. Point is... who's money ?.
