Has anyone used this organisation for money transfer i.e. from euros into pounds, and if so, how do you rate them? what is the main advantage (s) of using this type of company over a Spanish Bank? advice would be greatly appreciated.

I did get a quote and then we were bugged by them for months after....

When we bought out in Fuerteventura we used HiFx and used a forward contract. I won't post the referral link as I consider that bad form, but if anyone PM's me and I'll send it.

if only ! ........the u.k. had gone in the eurozone, none of all this scratching around looking for the best exchange rate against the pound, to save a cuppla bob, so, best thing t'do .........GET OUT !

I've never done it from â,¬s to £s in fairness, but what I can say is that I do regular transfers the other way and have found that I can get the best rate around in comparison to other transfer companies or banks. And the process is so simple once you have created an account with them. You setup a transfer, pay the money into their account and it's usually in my Spanish bank account the same or next day.

Like someone else here, I made the mistake of giving TorFX my contact details and their pushy saleswoman kept phoning me till I told her to stop.

I use Currencies Direct and never had a problem.

If you do bank to bank you'll end up paying a charge at each end
