Fuerteventura claims two spots in top European beaches list

18.02.2016 - The El Cotillo and Cofete beaches - in the north and south of the island, respectively - appear high in the latest European rankings, based on reviews submitted by users of the world's largest travel site. El Cotillo in La Oliva occupies an impressive fourth spot in the European list (second in Spain) headed by the Ses Illetes beach in Formentera (Balearic Islands), which pipped Elafonisi in Greece for the best beach accolade. For its part, Cofete is two places behind in sixth place. The two Fuerteventura locations are the only beaches in the Canaries to make the Top 25.
