Rental Licensed Property

Now as always seems to occur over the Winter i look at property For Sale in Fuerteventura . Never have i seen any mention in the information that the property can be rented out . So how would you know for sure ? Is there anywhere that you could enquire ? There does appear to be a lot of reasonably priced property on the market , especially around El Cotillo

Short answer is, unless it has a Vv licence, or is on a Tourist Complex with a sole agent which you have to use to rent it out, then you can't holiday let.

You would have to make an application to find out if the property is  eligible for a licence. I don't know if you can do this unless you own it.

  Depends what type of property and where. There is no answer at the moment. Most people dont know themselves if they are able to rent or not. Apparently recent new laws introduced have now been withdrawn pending new legislation. Some such as ourselves are going through the official channels to find out if they are able to rent and what to do if the answer is yes. What hoops you will have to jump through may be the deciding factor as to whether its worth it or not. If you are buying to rent, even though prices are attractive i would hold fire. If its for your own enjoyment without the need to let it out my advice would be to grab one of the very many great bargains on offer at the present time.
