At present Easyjet have flights to Fuerte on sale from Liverpool until 21st May. However they have flights to Lanzarote available until the end of June, which is as far as the schedules go yo.So I`ve asked the question of them and the answer was that they don`t know if this route will be operated beyond May and are already directing people to book for Lanzarote flights...

Strange, as most of the routes seem to be loaded but not this one..Anyone got any further info?

My view is that Aena have bought about the problem and shot themselves in the foot with their Landing Fee incentive scheme. This encourages airlines to introduce new routes, for a couple of years, then drop 'em.
BA LGW looks to end after May (18mths), RA finished their Bournemouth flight after 2yrs, and others have done the same.
Anyone agree/disagree?

Possibly so, but I guess the fees are similar at other airports in the Canaries and those routes continue or expand.  So what makes FUE less profitable than, say ACE?

Note that full planes doesn't equate to a good profit in every instance! As an airline, you may make more profit shuttling backwards and forward to Nice (assuming slots are available) than one return trip to the islands.
