British father-of-two is swept out to sea to his death in front of his fiancee during family holiday on Canary

Carl Lee Thompson drowned after getting caught in a strong current
Beach where tragedy took place known for its extremely powerful rip tides
Locals have questioned why there are not permanent warning signs

I'm tired of commenting on this now.
When will the Cabildo act. When will the so-called Reps inform their clients about the dangers of the Atlantic Ocean and it's Rip-Tides.

Transfer buses are usually equipped with TV systems. A short 5min video is all that is required.

Good idea. There are some good videos on Youtube they could use, but some Politically Correct Supervisor will say it's frightning people.

They don't seem to be too worried about frightening people about the perils of renting cars other than through themselves. Saying that, the only time I ever booked via rep, I got an Orlando car. The clutch cable snapped 40 klicks from the hotel.  That was interesting

They also say that cars NOT rented through them, are NOT insured.

It's not always the Reps fault, it's greedy supervisors with monetary targets to reach.

To be fair though Woe, I did get my money back, plus a little extra from Thompson's. No chance of that if I had been dealing with Orlando direct.
